Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading Risk & Control Analyst

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid role with a minimum of three days per week in the office

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 base salary annually, plus an annual bonus target

What you will do

• Monitor FX market volatility using quantitative techniques and ensure principal exposure remains within the firm’s risk appetite.
• Liaise with FX traders regarding risk limits and escalate exceptions appropriately.
• Maintain and develop metrics and analyses for P&L attribution.
• Establish processes, documentation, and controls for existing and new FX products.
• Coordinate with Credit, Treasury, Audit, Compliance, Model Validation, Systems, and Operations teams on risk and control matters.
• Prepare ad hoc risk analyses and support the resolution of audit and control issues related to FX products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a finance degree combined with data analytics, data science, statistics, or mathematics is preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience with foreign exchange or prime brokerage is preferred.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange trading instruments and risk management policies and methodologies.
• Expert-level Microsoft Office skills, including Excel VBA.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with business, systems, operations, and internal control functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL or Python.
• Bloomberg knowledge and experience with BI tools such as Qlik or Spotfire.
• Knowledge of BBH products, services, and practices.
