Business Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

Location: New York City, New York, United States

Base salary: $101,000–$177,000 per year, plus annual bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with financial institutions to gather, analyze, and document regulatory reporting requirements.
• Translate regulatory rules into functional specifications and Axiom configuration approaches.
• Advise clients on implementation strategies, industry best practices, and reporting process improvements.
• Interpret U.S. regulatory frameworks from the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, SEC, and FINRA.
• Perform data analysis, source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Support user acceptance testing, production parallel runs, go-live activities, and internal methodology development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of regulatory reporting experience in banking, broker-dealer, or financial services.
• Understanding of financial products, balance sheet composition, and accounting concepts.
• Ability to work with large datasets, read SQL, understand data models, and collaborate with technical teams.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience interpreting regulatory instructions and converting them into practical reporting solutions.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Axiom Controller View by Adenza/hirify.global.
• Experience at a top-tier bank, broker-dealer, consulting firm, or regulatory technology vendor.
• Familiarity with data governance, controls frameworks, and reporting automation.
• Advanced degree or CPA, CFA, or FRM certification.
• Experience with regulatory capital, liquidity reporting, broker-dealer reporting, bank holding company reports, or CCAR/DFAST stress testing.
