Accounting Manager (AI Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build and own the accounting function as the first full-time accounting hire.
• Manage the monthly close end to end, including the close calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and monthly financials.
• Own the general ledger, chart of accounts, department structure, and accrual, prepaid, and fixed asset schedules.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor onboarding, tax documentation, international wire payments, and Ramp payment runs.
• Handle customer invoicing, collections, accounting policies, internal controls, and preparation for the first financial statement audit.
• Apply AI tooling to reconciliation, analysis, and documentation workflows, with potential to grow into managing a small accounting team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting or in-house experience at a scaling company.
• Ability to independently plan, execute, and own the outcome of a monthly close.
• Experience designing or rebuilding accounting processes from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with a general ledger system and a modern expense or accounts payable platform such as Ramp.
• Comfort working in an early-stage environment with broad scope and shifting priorities.
• Expertise and willingness to use AI tools in daily accounting workflows.

Nice to have

• CPA or CPA-track status.
• SaaS experience.
• Experience preparing for or supporting a first financial statement audit.
• Familiarity with ERP selection or implementation at an early-stage company.
