Junior Developer (Remote)

Location: Remote within any United States jurisdiction except AK, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, GA, HI, ID, IN, KY, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, ND, OR, PR, RI, SD, VT, WA, and WY. Assignment location: Remote. Conditions: Stafford, Virginia, USA.

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain and develop front-end and back-end applications within an Agile environment.
• Contribute to software design, code development, code reviews, and application maintenance.
• Modify software logic, database schemas, and metadata in line with VA policies and procedures.
• Assess, remediate, and escalate trouble tickets while analyzing technical issues.
• Prepare documentation and defect-management reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups as part of the development support team.

Requirements

• 0 years of professional software development experience accepted.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with one or more of MUMPs, Delphi, Java, JavaScript, Python, C, C++, .NET, or Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of software development frameworks, integrated development environments, Agile and object-oriented methodologies, and the full release life cycle.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who has lived in the United States for at least three years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust.
