Senior Full Stack Developer (C#/.NET)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid with office attendance twice per week

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Not-for-profit, NHS-contracted healthcare organisation coordinating and delivering NHS primary and community eye care through a network of local opticians.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain a greenfield healthcare application using C# and .NET.
• Translate clinical and stakeholder needs into secure, scalable software solutions.
• Build and support integrations with NHS FHIR, e-RS, and third-party APIs.
• Write maintainable code aligned with GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and NHS information governance standards.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and pair programming.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level developers in an Agile team.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial full-stack development experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-hosted .NET services at scale, including architecture, performance tuning, and production operations.
• Strong proficiency in C# and modern .NET 6, including asynchronous programming and dependency injection.
• Strong React experience with hooks, state management, component architecture, and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with healthcare compliance standards and secure application development.
• Availability to work from the Manchester office two days per week.
