Legal Engineer (Legal AI)

What you will do

• Build privacy and compliance products by translating complex legal requirements into structured solutions that AI agents can execute.
• Own the privacy and compliance product vertical from the ground up, with autonomy over its scope and development.
• Support pre-sales and customer engagements by understanding legal and compliance problems and building or demonstrating solutions.
• Apply privacy law and broader regulatory, governance, security, or financial-services compliance knowledge to customer use cases.
• Extend the platform into broader legal products beyond privacy and compliance when needed.
• Use hirify.global’s no-code platform to build AI-powered solutions while assessing the practical capabilities and limitations of current AI tools.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of privacy and compliance, including privacy law and/or areas such as AI governance, security, financial regulation, or employment law.
• Qualification as a lawyer or substantial specialist experience in privacy or compliance.
• Strong practical AI literacy and the ability to reason about and build with AI tools.
• Ability to turn ambiguous legal, privacy, or compliance requirements into structured and workable solutions.
• Confidence working directly with customers in pre-sales and post-sales settings.
• Several years of privacy law or compliance experience, ideally at a mid-to-senior level, with the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience in legal tech, RegTech, or a SaaS environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, the EU AI Act, or broader GRC practices.
• Exposure to legal practice beyond privacy and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with prompt design, workflow automation, low-code tools, or similar approaches.
