Mechanical Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

What you will do

• Work with engineer mentors on the design team and take ownership of portions of engineering projects.
• Apply mechanical engineering concepts to real project challenges.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to understand how complete design packages are developed.
• Develop practical CAD drafting, time management, and communication skills.
• Contribute to varied engineering tasks requiring flexibility and interest in diverse project work.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at a four-year ABET-accredited university or college.
• Preferred graduation date within one year; candidates graduating within two years may also be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organization and ability to manage academic and work responsibilities simultaneously.
• Must work on-site in Madison, Wisconsin.
