Staff Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, with on-site expectations of 3 days per week at the New York headquarters.

Salary: $155,000–$187,000 USD annually for Tier 1 NYC/Bay Area markets; compensation is adjusted by geographic pay zone outside the listed cities.

What you will do

• Create scalable analytical frameworks that connect business data into interpretable outputs.
• Investigate root causes of data and performance issues across the organization.
• Build and improve dashboards, visualizations, and analytics automations.
• Establish causal links between actions and outcomes through experimentation and related methods.
• Translate analytical findings into strategic priorities for Go-To-Market and Account Management.
• Promote precise terminology, best practices, and robust documentation across Analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience applying analytical and statistical methods to business outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Advanced experience with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Mode, or Looker.
• Experience with ETL processes, especially dbt and Snowflake.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in business language.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business strategy and decisions through quantitative analysis, ownership, and problem-solving.
