Financial Accountant

International law firm specialising in corporate finance and cross-border transactions, with operations across global offices.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS for international entities.
• Manage month-end close activities, including revenue recognition reviews, journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with FP&A to provide cost analysis, performance commentary, and financial insight to senior management and equity partners.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS standards, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Prepare draft statutory accounts and coordinate audit deliverables with external auditors.
• Manage local and cross-border VAT compliance, tax reconciliations, and related work with external tax advisors.

Requirements

• ACA qualification, ideally gained in a reputable Big 4 or Top 20 audit practice, or ACCA qualification with relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory financial statement preparation.
• Practical experience with VAT compliance and reporting.
• Experience maintaining internal financial controls and improving accounting processes.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience in a large multinational business is advantageous; legal-sector knowledge is beneficial.

• Audit experience in a Big 4 or Top 20 firm.
