Water Sewage Operator

Location: Middletown, IA 52638, United States; onsite and must be willing to work all shifts

Salary: $32.09–$35.65 per hour

What you will do

• Perform daily checks of incoming potable water, gallons, chlorine, and the wastewater treatment plant.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and adjust equipment as needed.
• Follow water sampling plans created by AO and IDNR.
• Process explosive wastewater for recycling.
• Maintain AO and government equipment for cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Follow all applicable safety policies and requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater processes and their environmental and health impacts.
• Mechanical knowledge of pumping, electronics, and related equipment.
• IDNR Water/Wastewater Grade 1–2 certifications preferred.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, ability to lift more than 50 pounds, strong communication skills, and successful background screening.
