Senior Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Washington, DC; hybrid attendance required 2-3 days

Salary: $150,000-$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and oversee advanced security architectures protecting systems, data, and infrastructure.
• Strengthen the resilience, scalability, and compliance alignment of SOC environments.
• Lead secure system design, integration of security controls, and alignment with NIST and FISMA requirements.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, engineering teams, and leadership.
• Design and implement detection and response architectures for federal environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience designing secure system and network architectures for federal agencies.
• Experience with Zero Trust, cloud migration, and enterprise security reference architectures adopted by multiple agencies.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-160 and alignment of security architectures with federal compliance requirements.
• One of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP, Splunk/SIEM, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect.
• Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, endpoint security tools, cloud security technologies, and network security controls.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security environments.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
