Solutions Architect (Aerospace)

Location: Fully remote or hybrid if local to Buffalo, NY; access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually in Buffalo, NY.

What you will do

• Define target solution architectures across applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data layers.
• Design scalable and secure AWS, Azure, and GovCloud solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Architect event-driven, API-led, batch, and streaming integrations across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality systems.
• Enable digital thread traceability from requirements through design, production, and service, including product lifecycle data continuity and configuration management.
• Apply zero-trust and secure-by-design practices, conduct architecture risk assessments, and plan mitigations.
• Collaborate with product owners, program managers, engineering leaders, and architecture review boards while providing technical oversight through implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Kafka, Talend, or Informatica.
• Experience designing distributed systems and secure enterprise architectures, with knowledge of NIST, CMMC, TOGAF, or Zachman frameworks.
• Experience with DevSecOps, Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or ARM, and CI/CD pipelines in regulated environments.
