Customer Support Engineer (MLOps)

Location: Toronto, Canada; remote-friendly position supporting the PST time zone

Base salary: CAD 80,000–100,000 per year

What you will do

• Engage with customers to identify and troubleshoot technical issues and answer questions.
• Analyze bug reports, reproduce issues, determine root causes, and provide fixes.
• Design approaches and patterns for new features and contribute production code with unit tests.
• Expand end-to-end automated test coverage for new changes.
• Review designs and code, promote software development best practices, and improve engineering efficiency.
• Write infrastructure code using Terraform and Helm charts while working extensively with Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on software engineering experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of microservices patterns, large-scale software design, relational database design, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Bash, file systems, command-line tools, logging, and file permissions.
• Experience with Go, Python, C++, or Java with knowledge of Spring.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, plus understanding of Terraform, Helm, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC, Scala, Akka, or Druid Database.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and data science libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, NumPy, and pandas.
