(CAN) Pharmacy Assistant

Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; onsite at 510 Centennial Pkwy N.

Salary: CAD 17.60–23.10 per hour, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Receive prescriptions, verify required patient and prescriber information, and follow provincial legal and regulatory conditions.
• Enter and update patient data, process written prescriptions and refills, perform price checks, generate reports, and review patient profiles.
• Fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision by selecting, counting, measuring, labeling, and organizing medications for final checking.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, order and receive drugs and supplies, remove expired medications, and manage returns and stock levels.
• Keep the dispensary, equipment, supplies, records, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Support clerical administration, over-the-counter operations, stocking, and cashier duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Follow provincial pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements.
• Process prescription information accurately, including drug names, Latin abbreviations, dosage calculations, refills, and patient data.
• Perform prescription preparation and accuracy checks under pharmacist supervision.
• Work onsite at the Hamilton, Ontario location.
