What you will do

  • Provide immediate treatment and transport for sick and injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities.
  • Operate within the Advanced Care practice scope and apply relevant clinical training.
  • Lead ambulance shifts and make decisions concerning patient care, vehicle safety, and emergency response.
  • Work alongside PCPs and ICPS during emergency medical situations.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, hospital staff, management, public agencies, and legal representatives.
  • Support safety initiatives and maintain a respectful, patient-focused workplace.

Requirements

  • Current Prince Edward Island paramedic license
  • Current CPR card and valid ACLS certification
  • Fully graduated and unrestricted Class 4 driver’s licence
  • Driver’s abstract issued within the last 90 days
  • Paramedic diploma or degree and current resume and cover letter
  • CEVO driver’s course certificate issued within the last 2 years, criminal record and Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the last 90 days, and confirmation of Hepatitis B vaccination
