TL;DR
Associate Scientist II Discovery, Immunology (In Vivo) (Immunology/Drug Discovery): Designing and executing in vivo and ex vivo experiments to support discovery of therapeutics for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases with an accent on rodent PK/PD models, disease models, and rigorous data documentation. Focus on interpreting experimental data, troubleshooting studies, and presenting findings to immunology scientists.

What you will do

  • Design and execute in vivo and ex vivo/in vitro experiments supporting immunology discovery programs.
  • Conduct rodent studies, including dosing through multiple routes, blood collection, tissue harvesting, and necropsies.
  • Generate, analyze, and accurately document experimental data in accordance with data integrity requirements.
  • Interpret results, troubleshoot experimental issues, and independently implement study strategies.
  • Present findings to peer scientists and collaborate with discovery teams across Spring House, La Jolla, and Cambridge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of pharmaceutical industry or CRO experience with in vivo work.
  • Strong in vivo rodent handling skills and experience with classic PK/PD models.
  • Experience with immunology disease models, including respiratory, rheumatology, gastrointestinal, or skin models.
  • Experience with experimental design, study coordination, data interpretation, and meticulous documentation.
  • Knowledge of animal ethics and compliance requirements, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, and cytokine or inflammatory mediator assays such as ELISA, MSD, or Western blot.
