What you will do

• Create, validate, and distribute management reporting packages with accurate and timely financial results.
• Perform variance analysis by researching data and preparing commentary on market movements and business results.
• Participate in forecast meetings with business lines, provide financial insight, and challenge processes when appropriate.
• Prepare accounting memoranda, specialized internal and external reports, and regulatory reporting.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, audit work papers, and account reconciliations.
• Work with business leaders to provide ad hoc reporting, improve reporting cycles, and support accounting staff development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and analysis, general ledger processes, GAAP, and internal controls.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication, decision-making, and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and financial and accounting systems.
• Must work in the Pittsburgh office; visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
