Senior Accountant

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid workstyle

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries, general ledgers, financial statements, budgets, and management reports using accounting software.
• Allocate costs across organizational entities and analyze the impact on financial statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and complete monthly closing procedures.
• Research unusual transactions and GAAP issues, resolving complex accounting problems.
• Review property-level financials, respond to auditor inquiries, and recommend process improvements.
• Communicate with senior management and internal customers, and assist with training colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• 3–6 years of general work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, procedures, and accounting software.
• Knowledge of cost allocation concepts and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ability to analyze financial statements, resolve discrepancies, make independent decisions, and manage multiple detailed assignments.
• Willingness to travel less than 25%.
