Medical Assistant - Pulmonary - Full Time (Pulmonary): Supporting pulmonary and sleep medicine visits through patient preparation, clinical testing, medication administration, and documentation with an accent on respiratory care, sleep testing, and ambulatory clinical workflows. Focus on performing pulmonary assessments, processing specimens and prior authorizations, and supporting overnight pulse oximetry and home sleep testing.

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. Full-time onsite role, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

What you will do

  • Prepare charts for scheduled visits, including diagnostic results, reports, consults, and primary care documentation.
  • Room patients and document complaints, allergies, vital signs, medications, tobacco history, health maintenance, and other clinical information.
  • Perform and document respiratory, hearing, vision, ECG, screening, point-of-care, and pulse oximetry testing.
  • Collect and process specimens, perform venipuncture as needed, and administer medications and immunizations.
  • Process prescription refills and medication or procedure prior authorizations.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and medication sample areas, including stock levels, storage, and labeling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, a medical assistant training program with externship, or qualifying healthcare experience and training.
  • MA I: at least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience; ambulatory clinical experience is preferred.
  • MA II: at least 3 years of medical assistant experience; CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is required.
  • BLS authorization must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment.
  • CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is preferred for MA I.
