Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: On-site in New York, NY, United States. The posting also lists the location type as remote.

Base salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines and automate manual infrastructure workflows.
• Own production reliability through observability, SLI/SLO definition, and incident response.
• Implement GitOps workflows, strong IAM practices, secrets management, and compliance-ready infrastructure.
• Optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability at scale.
• Build developer tooling and documentation, mentor engineers, and help shape infrastructure strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience across compute, networking, storage, and observability.
• Expert-level, production-active Kubernetes experience, preferably with EKS, within the last 12 months.
• Production experience managing AWS infrastructure for B2B SaaS products.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines end to end.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, ELK, or Datadog.

• Experience working at VC-backed startups or mid-sized technology companies.
