Lead Content Designer (Generative AI)

Location: USA - Any Location (Remote). Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year, plus performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and lead content strategy across major digital health product areas.
• Write UX copy for mobile and web applications, including complex and high-stakes interaction flows.
• Design conversation flows, intents, utterances, response frameworks, fallback handling, and escalation paths for AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants.
• Partner with AI, clinical, legal, engineering, research, analytics, and product stakeholders to shape safe and effective healthcare experiences.
• Establish content standards, governance, evaluation rubrics, red-teaming practices, and feedback loops for generative AI outputs.
• Mentor content designers, lead workshops, contribute to the content design system in Figma, and participate in hiring and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in content design, UX writing, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated conversation design experience for chatbots or virtual assistants; healthcare member- or provider-facing experience is strongly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of large language models and generative AI, including prompt writing, AI-content evaluation, and awareness of risks in regulated industries.
• Experience leading content strategy for complex digital products, with strong writing, editing, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of UX, accessibility, information architecture, Figma, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital health or wellness.
• Familiarity with conversational AI platforms and tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
