Program Manager II (Defense)

Location: Onsite in Pueblo and Penrose, Colorado, United States. Travel up to 30% may be required, including overnight travel to customer sites, conferences, and program reviews.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 USD annual base salary, plus incentive plan eligibility and possible lump-sum hiring bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and execute coordinated plans for a portfolio of 3–5 projects involving solid rocket motors, chemicals, and explosives.
• Define project scope, schedules, cost estimates, risk assessments, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate communication between internal teams, clients, and government agencies.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage scope changes and maintain alignment with program objectives and customer expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in project or supply chain management and operations.
• Experience managing defense or government projects.
• Experience negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, or customers.
• Experience using project management software to manage schedules and budgets.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance and be a U.S. citizen.
• Must meet U.S. explosives licensing, background investigation, drug-free workplace, and ITAR/EAR eligibility requirements.
