Location: Visp, Switzerland; primarily based on site. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional technology transfers, process design, scale-up, and manufacturing implementation from planning through completion.
• Act as the MSAT Process Expert for Upstream Processing and interface with customers, process development, and manufacturing operations.
• Ensure scalability and manufacturability for fermentation, clarification, homogenization, and filtration operations.
• Apply technology transfer methodologies, risk management tools, and change control processes.
• Communicate with customers during campaign preparation, execution, and closure, including batch status and process performance reporting.
• Lead investigations, resolve manufacturing process issues, and complete deviations, change requests, campaign reports, and technical summaries in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Process Expert in Upstream Processing or in a comparable biopharmaceutical manufacturing role.
• Fluent German and English communication skills; English minimum B2 level.
• Strong technical expertise in upstream manufacturing, including fermentation, clarification, homogenization, and filtration.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working across complex matrix organizations and under pressure.
