DevOps/Cloud/Platform Engineer (Medical Technology)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; primarily office-based with hybrid working

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services for software delivery and production operations.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions and automate environment provisioning using tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and developer experience in partnership with software engineering teams.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for production systems.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve application reliability, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Support security, compliance, verification, validation, documentation, and regulatory initiatives in a medical device environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, SRE, or software engineering.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and with Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with Linux systems, containers, distributed applications, and Git.
• Understanding of networking, security, identity management, cloud architecture, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and Agile collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services including ECS, Fargate, CloudFront, S3, WAF, RDS, ECR, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and VPC.
• Experience with TeamCity and Kotlin DSL, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, CrowdStrike Falcon, WIZ, Azure AD B2C, Entra ID, Auth0, or Okta.
• Understanding of SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and operational metrics.
• Experience in regulated, safety-critical, or medical device software environments.
