Mechanical/Piping Designer Technologist

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; work is based in the Saskatoon office and may include project sites, remote sites, and travel to other hirify.global offices.

What you will do

• Apply mechanical design principles to develop 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical equipment, facilities, and processes.
• Support piping system design, industrial layouts, discipline workflows, and design documentation.
• Share design work with senior discipline members and other hirify.global groups.
• Perform field verification and provide field support during construction.
• Complete office and site safety training and inductions as needed.
• Travel and work at other offices or project sites when project needs require it.

Requirements

• Currently working toward graduation in 2027 or recently graduated from a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a similar program.
• Good understanding of mechanical equipment and systems design principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently and collaboratively, and adapt to change.
• Official or unofficial academic transcript must be submitted with the application.

Nice to have

• Co-op, summer work, or internship experience in mechanical or piping design.
• Academic or professional experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley MicroStation, OpenPlant, or Design Review CAD software.
• Experience with layout development for industrial facilities.
• Active involvement in extracurricular or volunteer activities.
