Sr. Staff Engineer, SoC Design Verification (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based out of Boston, Massachusetts; Toronto or Ottawa, Ontario; or Santa Clara, California

Compensation: $100,000–$500,000, including base and variable compensation targets. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, education, background, and location.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design verification strategies for CPU and AI accelerator blocks and chiplets.
• Build and maintain simulation environments using SV-UVM, C/DPI, Cocotb, and related verification methodologies.
• Own test plans, coverage analysis, regression execution, failure triage, and sign-off for multi-block CPU subsystems.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, post-silicon, and software teams to review plans and debug issues.
• Support emulation and multi-chip verification flows while improving scalability and efficiency.
• Mentor junior design verification engineers and promote consistent verification practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership of end-to-end CPU verification across processor cores, caches, interconnects, interrupts, MMU/IOMMU, and cache coherency protocols.
• Expertise creating comprehensive test plans and simulation testbenches with SV-UVM, C/DPI, and Cocotb.
• Experience managing high-volume regressions, complex failure triage, coverage metrics, and closure.
• Leadership and mentoring experience in design verification.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT.
• Employment is contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology and may depend on citizenship, permanent residency, or prior export-license approval.
