Vernon Hills Engineering Intern

Location: Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States; onsite internship

Salary: $22–$25 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and implement automation solutions for the Parts Support team.
• Refine and test tools with team members and streamline spare-parts databases.
• Support the quoting, design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process systems for liquid dairy, beverage, and food applications.
• Assist with block diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing and selection, quotations, skid design, and inspections.
• Support customer troubleshooting and the startup and commissioning of systems and modules.

Requirements

• Be in the final two years of a bachelor's degree in a relevant major, including computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, information systems, business analytics, supply chain management, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or food science.
• Be available to work full time during the summer.
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Business Objects, SAP, Knime, Salesforce, or Power Automate is relevant for the Parts Support opportunity.
• Have basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar process solution software for the Process Engineer opportunity.
• Demonstrate good organizational skills and self-motivation.
