Core Operations Associate (Hedge Fund Operations)

What you will do

• Perform T+1 reconciliations and resolve breaks between internal systems, prime brokers, and external fund administrators.
• Review reconciliations covering equities, futures, options, foreign exchange, bonds, listed swaps, and OTC instruments.
• Collaborate with Middle Office, Asset Servicing, Fund Accounting, Operations Technology, Trade Support, valuation teams, and third-party providers.
• Automate operational processes, implement strategic initiatives, and standardize procedures.
• Define operational procedures and recommend workflow improvements to increase efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives, process enhancements, and ad-hoc operational projects.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience performing reconciliations and resolving breaks across order management, accounting, and prime broker systems.
• In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, including equities, futures, options, FX, bonds, listed swaps, and OTC products.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, functions, and Visual Basic for Applications.
• Experience with large data sets, operational process migrations, automation, and process enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and control-oriented skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Enfusion, Traiana, Geneva, Gresham, or similar order management and accounting systems.
• Programming experience with Python, C++, JavaScript, or SQL.
• Experience in the hedge fund industry, preferably with a multi-manager platform.
