Forward Deployed Engineer — Platform (AI)

Location: Staines-upon-Thames, England, United Kingdom; hybrid work opportunities are available.

What you will do

• Embed with product teams and customer engineering organisations to improve developer velocity and reduce go-to-market timelines.
• Lead technical discovery, identify root bottlenecks, and translate ambiguous problems into scoped solutions.
• Design and build production-grade workflows, integrations, event-driven patterns, and data pipelines on the hirify.global Cloud platform.
• Diagnose platform friction and implement tooling, patterns, and reusable reference implementations for Kairos and Nexus.
• Help shape the Internal Developer Platform and translate product-team pain points into roadmap input.
• Work with customer architects, IT leads, business stakeholders, and the NGA architecture team while communicating technical trade-offs clearly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on capability across the stack.
• Backend experience with Go and frontend experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or RedPanda, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, containers, GitOps, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of event-driven and distributed-systems architecture and experience owning production systems.
• Experience working with platform or infrastructure teams and performing customer-facing technical work.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, debug real-world production issues, and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
