Oligonucleotide Manufacturing Specialist

Location: On-site in Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $35–$45 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Execute and troubleshoot oligonucleotide production workflows, reagent preparation, and related manufacturing processes.
• Support throughput, quality, and on-time delivery targets while serving as a technical resource for production.
• Train, mentor, and onboard team members on standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate laboratory maintenance, instrument validation, inventory management, and decontamination procedures.
• Support investigations into process deviations, quality events, equipment issues, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using hirify.global Business System tools such as kaizen and standard work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with nucleic acid manufacturing, sequencing workflows, or similar life science production processes.
• Experience following and improving standard operating procedures with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work a shift schedule beginning in 2027, including one weekend day and hours outside 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma certification, such as Green Belt, and process improvement experience.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as GMP or ISO quality systems.
• Experience with automated liquid handlers or DNA synthesizers.
