What you will do

• Design high-throughput strategies for modular mRNA assembly and optimize payload expression and cellular performance.
• Develop mRNA platform technologies, including chemical modifications, capping approaches, and sequence and structure optimization.
• Improve RNA quality, purity, stability, biological activity, and developability through experimental studies and in vitro assays.
• Develop purification workflows, including FPLC-based methods, and apply analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, and UV/Vis.
• Collaborate with molecular biology, delivery, formulation, process development, bioanalytics, and translational science teams.
• Document experiments and communicate findings through reports, presentations, patent disclosures, and scientific publications.

Requirements

• PhD and at least 2 years of relevant experience in RNA chemistry, oligonucleotide chemistry, nucleic acid therapeutics, or a related field.
• Strong experience designing, synthesizing, and optimizing RNA molecules, including mRNA and/or circRNA.
• Hands-on experience with in vitro transcription, RNA purification, analytical characterization, and FPLC purification.
• Experience with cell culture and functional in vitro assays for quantifying RNA expression.
• Knowledge of modified nucleotides, capping technologies, circularization methods, and RNA structure-function relationships.
• Ability to independently design experiments, troubleshoot technical challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and communicate scientific data.
