What you will do
- Support business operations by resolving issues raised by business users and responding to events and system alerts.
- Monitor application performance, analyze production disruptions, identify root causes, and recommend measures to prevent recurring defects and bugs.
- Improve or perform system configurations and contribute to reliable, responsive applications.
- Evaluate technology trends and design solutions that improve productivity and business operations.
- Maintain procedures, deliverable documentation, and production support and development processes.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience with more than 6 years in mainframe production support or a similar developer role.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, or an equivalent demonstrated learning path.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, TSO, and SQL.
- Understanding of mainframe environments, including batch and online processes.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in finance, banking, or insurance is preferred; ITIL certification is an advantage.
Nice to have
- Understanding of the IBM RTC tool.
- Experience in the finance, banking, or insurance industry.
- ITIL certification.
