Associate Manager - Controllership (Lease Accounting)

What you will do

• Manage lease accounting, financial accounting, month-end close, flash reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations for multiple global entities.
• Own SOX controls and maintain compliance across the operating environment.
• Partner with regional controllership, business finance, internal controls, auditors, process excellence, and RPA teams.
• Drive audit issue mitigation, closure of open balance sheet items, KPI delivery, and financial analysis.
• Hire, coach, and develop Financial Analysts and Senior Financial Analysts while monitoring performance plans.
• Identify automation, operational efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• CA with 5–7 years of relevant GL accounting experience, or B. Com, M. Com, or ICWA with 11+ years of relevant experience.
• Background in controllership or shared services within the service or manufacturing industry.
• At least 3 years of people management experience in finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, analytical thinking, problem solving, coaching, team building, and conflict resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Prior experience supporting finance in the IT services industry; integrated offshore business finance support experience is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of the SAP FICO module.
• Background in IT or telecommunications.
