Network & Systems Engineer (Vulnerability Management)

What you will do

• Run Qualys VMDR scans from the client environment and analyze vulnerabilities, severities, affected assets, and remediation guidance.
• Prioritize findings with infrastructure, application, and security owners in person, considering threat context and asset criticality.
• Patch and upgrade Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, enterprise applications, databases, network devices, security devices, cloud workloads, and virtualization hosts.
• Remediate locally restricted and physical assets using console, out-of-band, jump-host, and data-center access.
• Raise and execute change requests, perform staggered production rollouts with tested rollback plans, and attend client CAB and operational meetings.
• Perform verification scans, maintain vulnerability registers and aging reports, monitor daily Qualys Splunk uploads, and coordinate handover for after-hours remediation.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in network or systems engineering with hands-on patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with Qualys VMDR, vulnerability management, CVSS/CVE, ITIL change management, and rollback procedures.
• Strong Windows Server and Linux patching skills, including WSUS/SCCM and package managers.
• Ability to patch network and security devices, virtualization hosts, cloud workloads, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Comfort working in data-center or server-room environments with console, out-of-band, and physical device access.
• Must work onsite in Dubai full time and pass the client's security screening and site-access requirements. Strong customer-facing communication and written English are required.

Nice to have

• Qualys VMDR, MCSA, RHCSA, Security+, Network+, CCNA, Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation certifications.
• Experience with the Qualys Splunk Add-on, Splunk/SIEM, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Confidence presenting to stakeholders and disciplined execution against SLAs and maintenance windows.
