Engineer (Maintenance)

What you will do

• Provide field-based technical oversight, troubleshooting, and maintenance execution support for plant utilities and mechanical equipment in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate daily work with technicians, utility operations, planners, schedulers, system owners, manufacturing, quality, EHS, contractors, and vendors.
• Improve preventive maintenance tasks, job plans, procedures, work instructions, spare parts, and work-order readiness based on field feedback and recurring equipment issues.
• Support reliability improvement, equipment condition assessments, root cause analysis, deviations, CAPAs, commissioning, qualification, and project handover activities.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, competency assessment, and training support for maintenance personnel.
• Ensure safe and compliant execution using LOTO, job hazard analysis, risk assessments, GMP documentation practices, and CMMS updates.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering with 6 years of directly related experience, or a high school diploma/GED in a relevant discipline with 8 years of directly related experience.
• Strong knowledge of utilities, mechanical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance execution, and GMP manufacturing requirements.
• Experience supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, continuous improvement, and maintenance quality activities.
• Experience coordinating technicians, contractors, vendors, and third-party service providers without direct people-management responsibility.
• Strong communication, analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work rotating day shifts and meet the medical requirements associated with the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMMS work-order management, preventive maintenance, job-plan improvement, and schedule coordination.
• Experience developing technical training frameworks, qualification programs, competency assessments, knowledge repositories, or contractor governance programs.
• Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Spotfire, or similar digital and analytical tools.
