Product Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hwaseong-si, South Korea; travel up to 30% domestically and internationally

What you will do

• Provide new and sustaining product service engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, technical support, quality, marketing, and field teams to improve serviceability, reliability, and product performance.
• Analyze customer and product data, lead 8D problem solving, and create actionable fixing plans for Customer Service Engineers and Technical Support Engineers.
• Drive improvements to system hardware, diagnostics, software, tooling, documentation, training, and knowledge-management practices.
• Define spare-parts strategies, service cost models, preventative maintenance schedules, and service offerings.
• Support Alpha/Beta system integration, serviceability validation, product training, and product transitions to supply-chain ownership.

Requirements

• Doctorate with no related experience, master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Experience in service engineering, technical support, or semiconductor equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including experience with 8D problem solving.
• Understanding of system operation, system integration, and system calibration.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent English communication skills and willingness to travel up to 30% are required.
