26-27 Associate Director of Academic Operations (ADAO)

Location: Camden, New Jersey, USA; onsite school-based role

Salary: USD 87,000–113,000 per year

What you will do

• Own annual master schedule development, student scheduling, course catalogs, bell schedules, transcripts, and report cards.
• Coordinate PSAT, SAT, AP, state, and iReady testing, including rostering, proctor training, administration, makeups, and irregularity reporting.
• Manage home instruction processes, external vendors, compliance records, purchasing orders, and related payroll.
• Track grades, GPA trends, graduation progress, assessment requirements, CTE pathways, and diploma completion in partnership with academic and college-readiness teams.
• Support staff coverage, onboarding, professional development, school events, enrollment, student retention, and operational readiness.
• Own the student 1:1 technology system, device deployment and auditing, Tier 1 support, and technology readiness for testing windows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of school operations management experience in a charter or district setting.
• Proficiency with GSuite, Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets, PowerSchool, database management, and reporting.
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and collaborative project skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems proactively, work through ambiguity, and remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Commitment to supporting teachers, students, families, and children; meticulous attention to detail is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a legally required accommodation applies, pursuant to New Jersey requirements.

Nice to have

• Customer service, education, or nonprofit experience.
• Experience with generative AI platforms such as Claude and ChatGPT.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience with master schedule building, test coordination, student rostering, or transcript and credit management.
