Senior DevOps Engineer (TS/SCI)

Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area, United States. On-site support is required based on customer access, system classification, and mission needs; the schedule is hybrid subject to customer direction and secure-environment access requirements. Travel may be required for mission workshops, technical working sessions, or program activities.

What you will do

• Design and lead CI/CD pipelines covering build, testing, security scanning, deployment, and rollback across multiple environments.
• Implement secure infrastructure as code and platform automation for resilient cloud and hybrid environments.
• Embed Zero Trust, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, identity controls, and policy checks into delivery workflows.
• Build self-service developer platforms, containerized runtime environments, and orchestration frameworks.
• Establish observability through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and service-level objectives.
• Lead incident-response improvements, mentor engineering teams, define platform standards, and provide hands-on technical direction.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, SRE, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Advanced proficiency with CI/CD platforms, Git-based workflows, infrastructure as code, containers, and Kubernetes or comparable orchestration technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker, automated configuration management, and secure cloud or hybrid platforms.
• Experience integrating SAST, SCA, DAST, secrets management, identity controls, and infrastructure security checks into delivery pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience in DevSecOps or platform engineering for cyber, intelligence, law enforcement, or other mission-critical environments.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable regulated cloud environments, including cloud performance and cost management.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, policy-as-code, internal developer platforms, and reusable pipeline templates.
• Experience with SRE practices, including SLOs, error budgets, incident response, logging, metrics, tracing, and operational dashboards.
• Current TS/SCI clearance and experience supporting secure on-site environments.
