Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Automate secure build signing and manage certificates in a vault instead of the repository.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for JTL-WaWi, including migration from TeamCity to GitHub Actions.
• Provision cost-aware Azure test environments for build and release testing.
• Improve auto-update rollouts with staged deployment, delta packages, and reliable rollback.
• Establish secrets management and supply-chain security using Azure Key Vault and 1Password.
• Improve observability and incident response while collaborating with development, QA, release management, and architecture.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, cloud services, and cost-aware operations.
• Several years of experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer, ideally in a .NET environment.
• Solid CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and/or TeamCity, including reproducible builds.
• Experience with secure secrets handling, code-signing, vaults, Azure Key Vault, or 1Password.
• Confidence working with Podman or Docker and PowerShell scripting.
• Fluent English and residence in Germany are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with desktop deployment, auto-update mechanisms, Velopack, or delta packages.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with WSL under Windows.
• Observability and supply-chain security experience.
• Good German language skills.
