Credit Analyst - Intern (Agricultural Finance)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States

Salary: $20 per hour; qualified interns may also receive a $500 sign-on bonus.

Financial cooperatives provide agricultural credit, crop insurance, risk management, and related financial services to farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses across eight states.

What you will do

• Learn credit philosophies and lending activities for short-, intermediate-, and long-term financing.
• Support underwriting and decision-making for operating, term, and real estate loan applications.
• Input and analyze customer financial information, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
• Research agricultural industry information and complete assigned special projects.
• Learn loan administration, closing, sales, and customer-facing processes through time in retail offices and with Financial Officers.
• Participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and public activities such as farm shows or volunteer events.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in agricultural business, accounting, finance, agricultural economics, animal science, or a similar field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interest in agricultural finance, lending, and credit.
• Available for a 12-week summer internship.
