TL;DR
CMF Technical Manager (Mechanical Engineering/Materials): Developing and qualifying CMF processes for Logitech mechanical parts and new products in Suzhou with an accent on materials selection, molding, finishing technologies, and process capability. Focus on supplier engineering, on-site troubleshooting, audits, NPI ramp-up, and technical leadership across global, multi-cultural teams.

What you will do

  • Implement continuous improvement and innovation ideas for mechanical parts and lead or support ME and CMF technology projects.
  • Design and qualify CMF solutions for new products, including DFM, GD&T, SPC, DOE, materials selection, and process trials.
  • Conduct molding, painting, printing, plating, and other CMF process trials, including on-site troubleshooting.
  • Manage CMF-related suppliers and support process ramp-up and mass production for NPI projects.
  • Provide CMF consulting, training, and technical support to engineering, quality, commodity, and product management functions.
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships, support audits and cost-down initiatives, and ensure technical and quality delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a CMF or mechanical engineer and 5 years in electronics, sports goods, molding, painting, printing, or plastic decoration.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing suppliers in high-volume production and 3 years as a project engineer.
  • Knowledge of mechanical or materials technologies, including plastics, metals, composites, flexible technologies, color and appearance management, printing, painting, and IMD.
  • Experience with engineering design quality, process capability, systematic problem solving, ISO-based auditing, and supplier partnerships.
  • University degree or equivalent in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, printing technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent English required; willingness to travel and work with overseas suppliers.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in supplier engineering management.
  • Experience with small-batch manufacturing.
