Senior Element & Housing Design Engineering (Mechanical)

Location: Beijing, China; full-time, on-site

What you will do

• Generate and verify designs for filter elements and housings that meet customer specifications.
• Deliver safe, reliable, robust, and manufacturable engineering solutions.
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving with manufacturing teams and suppliers.
• Improve designs for manufacturability, operation, maintenance, reliability, time, and cost.
• Collaborate with the China Engineering Centre, Pall Beijing Energy+ Engineering labs, manufacturing teams, engineering managers, and Global Process Engineering.
• Develop products and processes through material changes, localization projects, VAVE, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Advanced understanding of design for manual assembly and batch manufacturing, including error-proofing methods.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or another 3D design package.
• Advanced knowledge of welding, machining, forming, molding or casting, and sealing mechanisms.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience designing filtration products or equivalent products.
