AI Partnerships Lead

Location: San Francisco, United States. Flexible work arrangements are offered, with the role based within Canva’s US operations.

Salary: $232,000–$306,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and execute Canva’s AI technology partnership strategy, balancing long-term vision with near-term impact.
• Lead complex partner engagements from strategy and negotiation through launch, adoption, and scale.
• Build senior-level relationships with AI platforms and technology partners including Anthropic, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Meta, AWS, and Notion.
• Work with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Legal, PR, Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Operations to launch integrations and joint go-to-market initiatives.
• Shape Canva’s product and platform extensibility, including the Apps SDK and Connect API.
• Track partner-app adoption, partner-influenced revenue, and customer-segment penetration to guide strategy and roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading strategic, product-led partnerships in AI, collaboration, platforms, SaaS, or developer ecosystems.
• Exceptional relationship-building and presentation skills across C-suite and working-level stakeholders.
• Strong ability to influence Product, Engineering, Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
• Combination of technical understanding, product judgment, and commercial acumen; product management experience is an advantage.
• Highly organized and analytical, with experience using data to guide decisions.
• Comfort operating as both a hands-on individual contributor and a strategic leader.
