Business Systems Analysis, Senior Specialist

Location: Irwindale, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility and residence in California

What you will do

• Analyze operational performance, assess business impact, recommend solutions, and lead efforts to operationalize improvements.
• Assess processes, create process maps and flow diagrams, and monitor project progress against business expectations.
• Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications and evaluate existing system capabilities.
• Build reports and dashboards to support operational analytics, performance measurement, and decision-making.
• Support system implementations through user validation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and complex issue resolution.
• Automate code-release handoffs from development to operations and help protect sensitive customer, financial, proprietary, and cybersecurity data.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in information technology development.
• Experience supporting business systems, system integrations, software enhancements, requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, implementation, and production support.
• Ability to analyze operational and project data, identify workflow and data-quality issues, and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Ability to develop business processes, workflows, operational procedures, system documentation, and decision records.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, and project or workstream leadership skills.
• Must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted; the role uses a hybrid work mode with regular attendance at an SCE facility.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with Demand Response programs, distributed energy resources, CAISO wholesale market operations, or utility and regulatory environments.
• Experience with vendor relationships, contract administration, service-level monitoring, budgeting, purchase orders, invoices, and deliverable tracking.
• Experience with internal controls, audits, compliance activities, and audit readiness.
