TL;DR
Systems Test Engineer (Temp) (RF/Satellite Communications) (RF/SATCOM): Integrating, configuring, and testing large-scale remote sensing antenna systems and satellite communications terminals with an accent on RF validation, networking, safety, and regulatory compliance. Focus on factory acceptance testing, diagnosing multi-dimensional system issues, and verifying antenna, servo, control, and communication performance.

Location: On-site at the Duluth, Georgia facility; up to 10% travel required

Salary: $95,000–$149,500 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $117,500–$176,500 annually.

What you will do

  • Lead or support factory integration, configuration, optimization, and testing of large-scale antenna systems and airborne terminals.
  • Integrate RF, network, mechanical, servo, and system-control interfaces using technical drawings, IDLs, and BOMs.
  • Set up specialized test equipment and perform system-level verification, range testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Represent hirify.global during customer-witnessed factory and production acceptance tests and communicate results to customers and internal teams.
  • Prepare technical reports, test procedures, and corrective-action documentation.
  • Provide remote support to field integration engineers and contractors commissioning antenna systems.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering program, or an Electronics Associate degree with equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience testing, integrating, or commissioning RF systems, antenna systems, or satellite communication terminals.
  • Experience with RF theory and measurements, including G/T, EIRP, BERT, S21, S11, VSWR, system gain, and frequency conversion.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP diagnostics and communication interfaces such as SSH, SNMP, UDP, and serial, plus experience with microwave analyzers, power meters, signal generators, DMMs, and oscilloscopes.
  • Understanding of electrical safety, Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures, multi-phase AC and DC circuitry, servo systems, EMC requirements, and FCC, CISPR, and MIL-STD compliance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SATCOM, remote sensing, and airborne antenna terminals using RF electronics across S, X, Ka, and Ku bands.
  • Knowledge of satellite and antenna remote-control interfaces, calibration, and network configuration.
  • Experience with engineering standards, automation, AI automation, or toolchain modernization.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
