Antenna Systems Engineer II (Satellite Ground Systems)

Location: Local to the Denver region, United States, with flexible teleworking opportunities. Travel of approximately 30–40% is required to antenna sites in the United States and territories, Tromsø, Norway, and other global locations as needed.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, test, and operationalize antenna ground systems.
• Support complete site build-outs from site surveys and system design through installation, testing, and operations.
• Configure and integrate baseband, RF, network, and backend equipment.
• Perform antenna installation, maintenance, validation, and acceptance testing.
• Support customer testing for RF communications and network interfaces.
• Coordinate with global engineering, program, supplier, industry partner, and customer teams on long-term space-ground communications solutions.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be eligible to maintain a US DoD SECRET Clearance.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience supporting hardware integration or technical site development and construction.
• Experience with complex systems engineering processes, on-site installation, backend integration, heavy machinery operation, and antenna systems acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with satellite ground systems, including antennas, modems, timing, and amplifiers.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline, preferably BSEE or ME, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF laboratory test equipment and procedures, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, phase noise test sets, and bit error rate testing.
• Knowledge of space communications subsystems, RF interfaces, satellite signal modulation and demodulation, front-end data processing, and monitor and control systems.
