Senior AI Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid 70/30 in-office work model

What you will do

• Define architecture, standards, and deployment patterns for AI, machine learning, Generative AI, and enterprise data products.
• Design and operate cloud-based AI platforms, lakehouse environments, APIs, model-serving interfaces, and reusable engineering libraries.
• Establish AI/ML/LLMOps practices covering CI/CD, infrastructure as code, testing, model and prompt versioning, monitoring, incident response, and rollback.
• Integrate SAP and enterprise data into trusted data products, feature engineering pipelines, semantic layers, and decision-support services.
• Ensure security, auditability, GxP compliance, validation, data integrity, and regulatory readiness across development, testing, and production.
• Mentor engineers and help establish an AI, Data, and Automation Center of Excellence across global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; equivalent deep technical experience is considered.
• 7+ years of software, data, or AI engineering experience, including 4+ years delivering production ML, GenAI, analytics, automation, or data-intensive systems.
• Expert Python and SQL skills, software architecture expertise, and experience with Java, Scala, or TypeScript.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte, plus backend experience building production APIs and services.
• Experience architecting LLM/GenAI systems, including RAG, agents, embeddings, vector search, evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus secure and compliant systems experience involving GxP, validation documentation, and change control.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or another regulated operational domain.
• Experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, IBP, MM, PP, QM, SD, EWM/WM, MDG, or BTP.
• Advanced Databricks, Terraform, Feature Store, Vector Search, model monitoring, and lakehouse governance experience.
• Experience with forecasting, optimization, simulation, anomaly detection, scheduling, inventory, logistics, or decision intelligence.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction across global teams.
