Senior Enterprise Technology Resiliency and Recovery Engineer

Location: Hybrid, based in Vienna, Virginia, or Pensacola, Florida, United States. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $111,600–$163,100 annually.

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise resiliency architectures for critical services, applications, infrastructure platforms, and cloud environments.
• Develop disaster recovery plans, cyber recovery procedures, restoration playbooks, recovery strategies, and dependency-aware sequencing.
• Engineer and validate recovery solutions using replication, backup, failover, orchestration, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
• Lead disaster recovery exercises, cyber recovery scenarios, tabletop exercises, technical recovery drills, and failover/failback testing.
• Measure recovery readiness through resiliency metrics, dashboards, maturity assessments, audit evidence, and executive reporting.
• Advise and mentor infrastructure, cloud, application, cybersecurity, risk, audit, and business resiliency stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in disaster recovery, resiliency engineering, infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, cyber recovery, site reliability engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing enterprise disaster recovery and resiliency solutions in complex technology environments.
• Experience defining and validating RTOs, RPOs, recovery priorities, recovery plans, runbooks, testing strategies, and validation methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, databases, middleware, virtualization, cloud platforms, backup, replication, and recovery orchestration.
• Ability to communicate technical resiliency concepts to technical and executive audiences and lead cross-functional recovery activities.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, Ansible, infrastructure as code, or platform engineering.
• Knowledge of chaos engineering, resilience testing, SRE concepts, recovery assurance, or executive resiliency dashboards.
• Certifications such as CBCP, CCRP, MBCP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or ITIL.
