Systems Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Provide advanced support for physical and virtual servers, converged infrastructure, server virtualization, SANs, network operating systems, and disaster recovery environments.
• Create and maintain cyber recovery runbooks and validate isolated backup environments.
• Troubleshoot network, server, and application issues; coordinate patching schedules and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Develop and execute test cases and scripts, prepare server build sheets, and update project diagrams and procedures.
• Lead complex infrastructure, patching, and strategic technology projects while coordinating with the PMO, business partners, vendors, and external support personnel.
• Participate in change control activities and provide onsite review of solution status, including occasional after-hours or weekend support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of job-related experience, including a minimum of 3 years working with networking and physical and virtual servers.
• Advanced knowledge of server hardware and software, infrastructure, networks, end-user devices, network directories, reporting tools, server replication, patching, and disaster recovery.
• Certifications required: MCSA, VCP, and CIAE.
• Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, customer service, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh and support occasional after-hours or weekend activities.
