Senior Associate Scientist, Bioprocess Analytics (AI)

Location: Framingham, MA; US and Puerto Rico residents only

Salary: $75,000–$108,333 per year

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and support analytical method platforms for biologics, including HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, cIEF, and binding assays.
• Execute independent analytical testing in a non-GMP setting to support R&D Biologics Development programs.
• Plan and manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision, including work assignment planning, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical reports, study protocols, and result summaries, and present scientific findings to cross-functional teams.
• Use digital and AI-powered tools to improve data analysis workflows and accelerate method development.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues across multiple concurrent projects while delivering work on schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related discipline with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with one or more protein characterization separation techniques, including UPLC/HPLC, LC/MS, or cIEF.
• Proficiency with data processing software such as Empower, Chromeleon, MassLynx, or OpenLab.
• Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects across varied analytical testing platforms.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, collaboration, and scientific problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• LC-MS/MS experience in protein post-translational modification identification and quantitation, glycan analysis, or metabolite analysis.
• Experience with Waters or Thermo instrumentation, automated high-throughput instruments, ELISA, qPCR, GLP/GxP environments, or iLab Solutions.
